Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By installing the RagnaSync Discord application, accessing the RagnaSync dashboard, or otherwise using the service (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

RagnaSync provides a bridge between Ragnarok Online game servers and Discord guilds, including chat relay, server status notifications, command logging, character sprite rendering, and related features. Some features are offered free of charge; others require a paid subscription.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required by Discord in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation or guild, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service in violation of Discord's Terms of Service, Developer Terms, or Community Guidelines.
  • Use the Service to relay, process, or distribute unlawful, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit content involving minors.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Resell, sublicense, or repackage the Service without our written consent.
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits, billing, or access controls.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations.

5. Your content

You retain all rights to the chat content and configuration you supply. You grant RagnaSync a limited licence to process this content solely to operate and provide the Service (e.g., relaying messages between Ragnarok and Discord). See our Privacy Policy for handling details.

6. Subscriptions & billing

Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis through Stripe. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. You may cancel at any time from the dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We may change pricing on prospective billing cycles with reasonable notice.

7. Availability

The Service is provided on a commercially reasonable best-effort basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we may perform maintenance or deploy updates at any time. Buffered messages may expire if delivery cannot complete within four (4) days.

8. Third-party services

The Service depends on third-party platforms including Discord, Stripe, and AWS. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms, and outages or policy changes by them may affect the Service.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by removing the bot from your guild and cancelling any active subscription. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if continued operation would expose us to legal or security risk.

10. Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RAGNASYNC AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR USD $50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the RagnaSync Discord server. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
